1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, or provide information to website owners. Browser localStorage is a related technology that stores data locally on your device without an expiry date.
2. How we use storage
Imbuz sets no cookies unless you allow Analytics. It uses your browser’s local storage for a few small values — your cookie-notice choice, your accessibility settings, the files you have processed on this device, and an open chat conversation — all listed below. These values:
- Are stored only in your browser on your device
- Are never sent anywhere — the chat conversation is sent only when you ask a question
- Are used only to make the site work as you left it
- Can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data

We never set cookies for advertising or social media tracking. The Google Analytics cookies above are set only if you allow Analytics. One more exception, on the contact page: its invisible spam check (Google reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare Turnstile) may set a security cookie of its own when you use the form.
4. Third-party services and CDNs
Google Analytics 4 runs only if you allow Analytics in the cookie notice. Until then it is not loaded at all — no script, no cookies, no requests to Google. With it on, Google records which pages are viewed, roughly where from (country and city, from an IP address it does not store) and on what kind of device and browser. We do not use its advertising features. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
The contact form, chat assistant and accessibility widget are provided by Sitekit (tools.lumiave.com). Sitekit sets no cookies; its widgets keep their settings in local storage, as listed above. The contact form’s invisible spam check, from Google reCAPTCHA or Cloudflare Turnstile, loads only on pages with a form and may set a security cookie. If you choose the readable or dyslexia-friendly font in the accessibility widget, the font is loaded from Google Fonts or CDNFonts.
The tool loads open-source libraries from third-party CDNs (esm.sh, jsDelivr). These CDNs may set their own cookies or log access data as part of their normal operations. We do not control this and do not receive it. You can review their privacy practices at:
5. Your choices
The cookie notice asks once, with two categories:
- Strictly necessary — always on. Everything in the storage list above except the
_gacookies: your answer to the notice, your accessibility and chat settings, your per-device file counts, and the contact form’s spam check. None of it tracks you. - Analytics — off unless you switch it on. Turns on Google Analytics 4, which sets the two
_gacookies above. Switch it off again and the cookies are deleted and nothing more is sent.
“Accept all” and “Reject non-essential” are equal choices, nothing is pre-ticked, and closing the notice with Escape counts as a rejection. You can change your mind at any time:
You can also control and delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data
Clearing local storage also clears your cookie choices, so the notice will ask again on your next visit.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. We will not introduce new cookies or tracking without updating this policy and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.
