About this tool
The markup behind local search results
LocalBusiness markup confirms your name, address, phone number and opening hours in the form Google and AI assistants read most reliably. Pick the most specific of about fifty types — Dentist rather than LocalBusiness, Plumber rather than HomeAndConstructionBusiness — and the extra fields that type supports appear: medical specialty and new-patient status for clinics, cuisine and menu for restaurants.

Questions
Questions about this tool
Everything here runs in your browser — nothing you add is uploaded. More in the general FAQ.
What is schema markup?
Structured data in a standard vocabulary (schema.org) that describes what a page is about in a form machines can read without guessing — a business and its hours, a product and its price, a list of questions and answers. Google uses it for rich results, and AI search engines use it to understand and cite pages.
Where do I put JSON-LD on my page?
Paste the whole <script type="application/ld+json"> block into the page’s <head>, or anywhere in the <body>. Google reads it in either place. In WordPress, Webflow or Shopify, use the page’s custom code field, or add it through Google Tag Manager.
Does schema markup improve rankings?
Not directly. It makes a page eligible for rich results — stars, prices, breadcrumbs — which tend to earn more clicks, and it helps search engines and AI assistants understand the page correctly.
How do I test my structured data?
Use Google’s Rich Results Test to see which rich results a page qualifies for, and the Schema Markup Validator at validator.schema.org for general schema.org errors. After publishing, Search Console reports any problems it finds across the site.
Is anything I type stored?
No. The markup is generated in your browser as you type, and nothing is sent anywhere or saved.
